Types of sprinkler systems we service
- WET PIPE SPRINKLER SYSTEM. This is most common, cost-effective and easiest to maintain of all available fire suppression systems. As and when activated by heat, closed sprinkler heads discharge the pressurized water contained in sprinkler pipes to smother fire. This system is effective in multi-story buildings.
- DRY PIPE SPRINKLER SYSTEM. Sprinkler pipes hold pressurized air or nitrogen gas, as well as water. To contain a fire, air is released by heat- or smoke-activated sprinkler heads before water is released about a minute later. This fire suppression system is best used in structures whose pipes are subject to freezing conditions.
- DELUGE SYSTEM. This fire suppression system sports open sprinkler heads and unpressurized pipes. When activated by smoke or heat detectors, water or foam is released from all sprinkler heads all at once to quell a fire by flooding and drowning it. This is especially effective in high-risk industrial structures containing flammable liquids, chemicals and tanks.
- STANDPIPE SYSTEM. A standpipe is a system of pipes built into large-area or multistory buildings. It provides pre-piped water to connected hoses in strategic building locations, essentially serving as interior fire hydrants to trained building occupants and firefighters. All standpipe systems are required to be regularly inspected, tested and maintained in compliance with NFPA 25.
